Our Bijou
This is the first property of Bijou Di Bartolomeo. What started as a simple idea by Avinn Di Bartolomeo soon became a family project driven by passion and dedication. Together, he purchased a traditional Swiss house and carefully we transformed it into a welcoming retreat where travelers from around the world can relax, feel at home, and experience the beauty of Lake Lungern and the Swiss Alps.

Avinn Di Bartolomeo
An Venezuelan-Italian man (42 years old), father of a son, a daughter, and two stepdaughters, who inspire him every day to continue building this wonderful business.
He currently works at Möbel Märki and, after work, continues dedicating his time and energy to providing guests with the best possible stay.
He is the founder of Bijou Di Bartolomeo and the person behind its vision and growth. Administration, new ideas, business development, and future projects—he is the driving force behind it all.
Michelle Kernahan
A teacher who loves her profession, her children, and the simple joys of life.
What role does she play at Bijou Di Bartolomeo? She is Avinn Di Bartolomeo’s wife and one of the strongest pillars of the business.
Always ready to help whenever needed, she supports the company in many ways—from answering calls and assisting guests to supporting Avinn in every step of the journey.
She played a vital role in making the purchase of the beautiful Bijou Lungern possible and continues to be an essential part of the company’s growth and success.
Avriann Di Bartolomeo

At just 18 years old, Avriann is already building his future in the hospitality industry. He is currently studying Hospitality Management while training at one of Lucerne’s leading hotels.
When he’s not studying or playing football, he helps support the family business through website management, guest communication, contracts, and digital operations.
Bringing fresh ideas and modern solutions to the family business, Avriann combines hospitality, technology, and creativity to help create memorable experiences for every guest.

Avrianna Di Bartolomeo
The youngest daughter of Avinn and sister of Avriann, she is a creative and cheerful 16-year-old who brings fresh ideas and personality to Bijou Di Bartolomeo.
Many of the decorative touches that make our properties feel warm and welcoming come from her creativity—and our souvenir project was entirely her idea.
She is currently completing her final year of school before beginning her studies in what we hope will become one of our future services:

A loving mother of two children and the sister of Avinn Di Bartolomeo, she is also aunt of Avriann and Avrianna.
At 34 years old, she plays a vital role in the success of Bijou Di Bartolomeo. She is responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations and ensuring that every property is well prepared for our guests.
She is also the person who reports and follows up on any issues that need attention, helping us maintain the quality and comfort that our guests expect during their stay.
Kylie and Leila Kernahan
Two young secondary school students, both 12 years old and daughters of Michelle Kernahan.
At the very beginning of the Bijou Lungern project, they were ready to help with the preparation and decoration of the property. From carrying small lamps and glasses to assisting with countless little details, their enthusiasm and support contributed to creating the warm and welcoming atmosphere our guests enjoy today.
Their help, dedication, and positive energy became a small but meaningful part of the Bijou Di Bartolomeo story.
